MILAN, May 6 (Reuters) - Italian spirits group Campari CPRI.MI said on Wednesday its organic revenues were up 2.9% in the first quarter, missing forecasts, and reported similar growth rates in its main markets of North America and Europe.
Revenues totalled 643 million euros ($755.65 million), below an analysts consensus compiled by Visible Alpha of 651 million euros.
Campari confirmed its 2026 guidance and said it expected an underlying growth of around 3% to continue through the year.
"Despite the challenging operating backdrop, we gained market share in nearly all our key markets globally, especially on our priority brands", CEO Simon Hunt said in a statement.
Sales of aperitifs rose 2% in the first quarter on an organic basis, while the whiskey and rum category declined 5%.
