Campari sells Averna and Zedda Piras brands for 100 million euros

MILANO, Dec 18 (Reuters) - Italian drinks group Campari CPRI.MI said on Thursday it had agreed to sell its brands Averna and Zedda Piras to spirits company Illva Saronno for 100 million euros ($117.45 million).

The sale is a further step in Campari’s broader strategy to streamline its portfolio focusing in order to focus on its core brands, to support financial deleverage, the company said.

In the amaro category, the group will now focus on its key Braulio brand, it added.

Illva Saronno owns liqueur brand Disaronno and Sicilian wine brands Florio and Duca di Salaparuta.
