BROADCOM ONE OF THE LAST KEY REPORTS STILL DUE

Even though the war in the Middle East has diverted investor attention away from earnings and the AI trade, results from Broadcom AVGO.O, due after the closing bell on Wednesday, will get some notice as it is one of the last key technology reports of the fourth-quarter 2025 reporting season.

Given recent worries about artificial intelligence growth and its impact on the market and valuations, investors are likely to focus on any comments about the company's AI chip business.

Reuters reported late last month that a Broadcom executive said the AI chip designer expects to sell at least 1 million chips by 2027 based on its stacked design tech.

Results are in now from almost all of the S&P 500 companies on the fourth quarter. LSEG data as of Friday showed year-over-year estimated earnings growth for the quarter is at 14.3%, up from 13.9% the week before.

And much of that overall growth is tied to the technology sector. Profit growth for the S&P 500 tech sector .SPLRCT is now seen at 33.8%, up from 26.5% at the start of January, LSEG data showed.
