Aug 20 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1925 GMT on Wednesday:

** Jewelry retailer Claire's said it would sell its North American business to private equity firm Ames Watson for $104 million in cash, in a deal that will keep at least 795 retail locations in business.

** Britain blocked the proposed acquisition of graphene-related assets owned by Versarien Plc VRS.L by a joint venture involving China's Anhui Boundary Innovative Materials Technology, citing national security concerns.

** Guess GES.N said it has agreed to be taken private by a group, including its co-founders, CEO and Reebok owner Authentic Brands, in a deal valuing the designer apparel brand at $1.4 billion, including debt.

** Dutch technology investor Prosus PRX.AS plans to raise $2 billion through asset sales in the near term, the company's CEO said, as he announced a 54% increase in quarterly earnings.

** HR software firm Dayforce  said it was in advanced discussions to be acquired by Thoma Bravo for $70 per share, as private equity firms look to software as growth drivers in an uncertain economy.

** Lowe's Cos  said it has agreed to buy interior building products distributor Foundation Building Materials for nearly $8.8 billion, stepping up its expansion into the business that serves contractors and builders.

** India's Aurobindo Pharma  is leading the race to buy Prague-based drugmaker Zentiva <1SKF401E.BV> for up to $5.5 billion, the Economic Times reported, in what could be the largest-ever acquisition by an Indian pharmaceutical firm.

** Shanghai Bright Power Semiconductor <688368.SS> has agreed to buy a 100% stake in a Chinese wireless charging chip maker for 3.28 billion yuan ($457 million) to further expand its products portfolio and enhance competitiveness, it said in a Shanghai stock exchange filing late on Tuesday.

** Turkish Airlines  said on Tuesday that its offer for the acquisition of a minority stake in Spanish airline Air Europa has been accepted.
