POLITICS
France and Italy are close to finalising the technical
details to supply an SAMP/T air defence system to Ukraine, two
diplomatic sources said on Thursday, although it was unclear how
quickly a final decision would come.
ECONOMY
ISTAT releases November industry sales data (0900 GMT).
DEBT
ECB releases December data on Italian banks domestic
government bond holdings.
Treasury sells 5.0 billion euros 6-month BOT bills due July
31, 2023. Subscriptions close at 1000 GMT.
Italy's Treasury said on Thursday it would offer up to 9
billion euros in bonds at an auction on Jan. 31.
COMPANIES
BANKS
Italy is close to clinching a deal with European Union
competition authorities to reintroduce a scheme under which the
state provides guarantees to help banks offload bad loans, four
people close to the matter said on Thursday.
SALVATORE FERRAGAMO SFER.MI
Sales at the Italian luxury goods group rose by 5.7% at
constant exchange rates last year, with a slowdown in the fourth
quarter blamed on COVID restrictions in China.
SAFILO SFLG.MI
The Italian eyewear group on Thursday narrowly beat its
full-year sales guidance, posting a 4.2% rise at constant
exchange rates thanks to the positive performance of its own
brands as well as of its licensed business.
TOD'S TOD.MI
The group's owners Della Valle brothers and shareholder LVMH
LVMH.PA have consensually terminated the shareholding
agreement signed on Aug. 3 after the luxury shoemaker's founding
family ditched a plan to delist the company last December.
DE' LONGHI DLG.MI
The Italian home appliances maker posted on Thursday
fourth-quarter revenues of 1.03 billion euros, but warned it
expects a slight decrease in sales for 2023.
JUVENTUS JUVE.MI , LAZIO LAZI.MI
JPMorgan JPM.N has written to Italy's top soccer league to
express a preliminary interest in supporting the development of
Serie A's media business, three people close to the matter said.
