(FDA) has granted "fast-track" designation to co's lead gene
therapy to treat hearing loss caused by genetic mutation
    ** FDA's "fast-track" status is intended to expedite review
of drug candidates being developed to treat serious conditions
    ** Up to last close, shares have more than doubled YTD
