** Shares of Decibel Therapeutics  DBTX.O  rise ~10% to
$3.25 in early trade
    ** Co says U.S. FDA has cleared application for its early to
mid-stage study of experimental gene therapy for treating
hearing loss in children, caused by deficiency of a type of

    ** Expect that first two participants in U.S. portion of the
trial will be as young as 7 years of age - DBTX
    ** Co's experimental therapy, DB-OTO, is being developed in
collaboration with Regeneron Pharmaceuticals  REGN.O 
    ** Including session's gain, stock down ~30% YTD
