EUROPE BEFORE THE BELL: NVIDIA RELIEF
Global risk sentiment has survived the Nvidia NVDA.O earnings test, as the company's upbeat sales forecast soothed whatever slight worries investors may have about the rampant AI trade.
Shares in the AI bellwether rose over 5% after market after it forecast 70% sales growth next year, indicating that the AI spending boom will continue.
The results look set to provide some comfort to European stocks at the open.
Euro STOXX 50 futures STXEc1 are up about 0.3%, while contracts on the DAX FDXc1 and CAC FCEc1 are up about 0.1% each. FTSE futures FFIc1 are down by about 0.4%.
Nvidia's results appear set to help Europe's semiconductor names at the open, while software names may also get a boost after U.S. peer Salesforce CRM.N rose sharply after hours following results.
Elsewhere, French spirits group Pernod Ricard PERP.PA reported a worse-than-expected decline in sales, while Germany's Delivery Hero DHER.DE lifted its 2026 outlook.
