Hochtief poised for DAX debut; Lufthansa faces tight race, DB says

** Construction company Hochtief  HOTG.DE and airline Lufthansa  LHAG.DE could join Germany's blue-chip DAX .GDAXI index in the upcoming June review, Deutsche Bank says

** Hochtief would be a first-time entrant, with Deutsche Bank noting a 190% share rally over the past 12 months driven by defence infrastructure and data centre demand

** Lufthansa would rejoin the index for the first time since 2020 after it missed out several times over the past years

** The race remains tight for Lufthansa, which ranks slightly below the fast-entry threshold, Deutsche Bank says

** The broker calculates a 1.8% gap for Lufthansa to reach the required ranking, with eight days left to move the needle
