Lufthansa to exercise option to buy majority stake in ITA in June

BERLIN, May 12 (Reuters) - Lufthansa LHAG.DE said on Tuesday that it will exercise its option to acquire a majority stake in Italy's ITA Airways in June, increasing its stake to 90% from 41%.

Lufthansa's supervisory board approved the decision at its meeting on Monday, the company said in a statement.
