DFDS agrees to buy transport network from Turkey's Ekol

COPENHAGEN, Nov 15 (Reuters) - Danish shipping and
logistics firm DFDS DFDS.CO said on Friday it had agreed to
buy Turkey's Ekol Logistics' international transport network,
overturning a decision made two weeks ago to terminate the deal.
The acquisition, which has an enterprise value of
approximately 1.8 billion Danish crowns ($255.1 million), was
agreed after revising some terms, including the amount of debt
included in the transaction, DFDS said in a statement.
"Given the revised terms, well prepared business plans, and
the strength of our expanded network, we are well positioned to
protect and grow our Mediterranean business," CEO Torben Carlsen
said.
The two groups launched talks in 2022 and had initially
agreed on the deal in April.
