** Shares of British furniture retailer DFS Furniture DFSD.L rise 10.5% to 145p, biggest intraday gain since April 2020

** Stock among top gainers on FTSE smallcap index .FTSC

** Co expects 2025 profit before tax and brand amortisation to be between 25 mln pounds and 29 mln pounds ($32.3 mln - $37.5 mln), ahead of analysts' estimate of 22.7 mln pounds as recorded in a company-compiled poll

** Board remains confident in achieving 1.4 billion pounds full-year revenue and 8% PBT medium-term targets

** Posts H1 2025 adj. profit of 17 mln pounds vs 8.7 mln pounds in H1 2024

** In 2024, stock rose ~14.94%
