much as 17.7% to 261 rupees, their highest since May 24
    ** Stock posts biggest intraday pct gain since Jan. 11
    ** Co said Monday it would buy two tea estates from Apeejay
Tea Ltd in Assam for 1.09 bln rupees ($13.25 mln)
    ** More than 154,000 shares change hands by 10:26 a.m. IST,
22.3x 30-day avg of 6940 shares
    ** Stock last up ~16%, sharply cutting YTD losses to ~1%
from ~15% as of Monday's close
