SATELLITE PROJECT
France and Poland will build a telecommunications satellite for the Polish military, the companies involved in the project said on Monday, as Paris and Warsaw strengthen their economic and defence ties.
BGK BANK
Mirosław Czekaj, CEO of the state-owned Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK), said that BGK is capable of providing significant financing for strategic investments, such as the construction of a nuclear power plant. The bank's financial capacity reaches 12 billion zlotys ($3.34 billion), Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily reported.
DIAGNOSTYKA
Polish medical laboratory operator Diagnostyka DIAP.WA reported a 12.6% rise in full-year net profit on Monday, driven by higher test volumes and increased prices as the company continues its acquisitions in the lab and diagnostic imaging sectors.
BUDGET
Poland does not currently need to amend the 2026 budget despite the implementation of a costly programme to protect consumers from the effects of rising fuel prices, Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski told private radio TOK FM on Monday.
