The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq fell on Friday as social media and ad tech firms led
declines after dismal quarterly revenue from Twitter and Snap, while an upbeat
forecast from American Express kept the Dow afloat.  .N 
    
    At 11:52 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.15% at
31,988.95. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.65% at 3,972.77 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 1.51% at 11,876.921.
