U.S. stock index futures edged higher as investors awaited a batch of economic
data and clung to hopes the Federal Reserve would deliver a supersized
interest-rate cut at its monetary policy meeting, which starts on Tuesday.  .N 
    
    At 9:04 ET, Dow e-minis  1YMc1  were up 0.30% at 41,783. S&P 500 e-minis
 ESc1  were up 0.44% at 5,663, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis  NQc1  were up 0.70% at
19,570.
