India's Hathway Cable and Datacom rises on Q2 profit jump

** Shares of cable broadband service provider Hathway Cable
and Datacom  HAWY.NS  rise 3.3% to 20.75 rupees, set for best
day in over a month
    ** Co reports a ~29% rise in Sept-qtr consol net profit to
258 million rupees ($3.1 million); rev from ops increases 6%
    ** HAWY on track for fifth straight session of gains
    ** Busiest session for stock in about two weeks; more than
5.7 mln shares change hands 
    ** Stock down ~2% so far this year vs a ~16% and ~23% fall
in peers GTPL Hathway  GTPH.NS  and Dish TV India  DSTV.NS 
respectively
