DNO resumes oil production from Iraqi Kurdistan fields
DNO resumes oil production from Iraqi Kurdistan fields July 28 (Reuters) - DNO DNO.OL in recent weeks began to restart production from its Tawke and Peshkabir oilfields in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, the Norwegian company said in a statement on Tuesday.
Following the launch of U.S.-Israeli air strikes against Iran on February 28, DNO temporarily halted production and drilling operations in Kurdistan as a safety measure.
DNO said on Tuesday it initiated production from the Tawke field on June 28 and from the Peshkabir field on July 11.
Speed of production ramp-up depends on performance of wells and surface facilities that have been shut in for a prolonged period, as well as regional security conditions.
Second quarter net production in Kurdistan was 273 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), down from 39,600 boed in the first quarter of 2026 and 56,070 boed in the second quarter of last year.
