Dow posts smaller-than-expected first-quarter loss
April 23 (Reuters) - Chemicals company Dow Inc DOW.N posted a smaller-than-expected first-quarter adjusted loss on Thursday, helped by higher prices and cost-cutting measures. The Michigan-based company reported an adjusted loss of 14 cents per share for the quarter ended March 31, compared with analysts' average estimate of a loss of 29 cents per share, according to data compiled by LSEG.
