UK Stocks-Factors to watch on Aug 21 (updated)

Aug 21 - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen
opening lower on Monday, with futures .FFIc1 marginally down
0.01%.
* DP EURASIA: DP Eurasia DPEU.L , which runs the Domino's
Pizza brand in Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, said it
would file for bankruptcy of its Russian business, ending a sale
process for the unit it started late last year.
* CREST NICHOLSON: British housebuilder Crest Nicholson
CRST.L lowered its annual profit expectations in the wake of
challenging trading conditions as high interest rates and sticky
inflation drove homebuyers away.
* JOB MARKET: Britain's labour market is losing some of its
inflationary heat with vacancies and advertised starting
salaries falling in July for the first time this year, according
to a survey.
* HOUSING MARKET: Asking prices for homes in Britain fell
sharply this month as rising mortgage costs caused sellers to
lower their expectations of what they can get for their
properties, an industry survey showed.
* OIL: Oil prices rose on Monday as global supply is
tightening with lower exports from Saudi Arabia and Russia,
offsetting nagging concerns about global demand growth amid high
interest rates.
* GOLD: Gold prices edged up from 5-month lows after
declining in the previous five sessions, as investors saddled up
for a gathering of central bankers in Jackson Hole, Wyoming,
this week for outlook on economy and interest rates.
* METAL: Copper
prices rebounded
after posting a third consecutive weekly decline, helped by
low stocks and expectations of a demand pick-up in the autumn
season but gains were capped by China's property and economic
woes.
