** Shares of solar and battery company Canadian Solar CSIQ.O rise 1.7% to $13.2 premarket

** Company's e‑STORAGE unit will deliver 420 megawatt-hour (MWh) of battery energy storage systems across two UK projects for Drax Group DRX.L

** DRX is up 1.4% at 885.5 p

** CSIQ adds that the projects include a 60 megawatt (MW)/120 MWh installation in Marfleet, England, and a 150 MW/300‑MWh installation in Neilston, Scotland, both developed by Apatura

** Company says e‑STORAGE will supply a fully integrated battery energy storage system using its SolBank 3.0 batteries and provide long-term operational services

** CSIQ says battery installations are scheduled to begin in Q3 at Marfleet, with the Neilston site starting in early 2027

** Up to last close, CSIQ down 45.4% YTD
