** The British power company beat annual profit expectations, helped by strong pellet production in North America

** Company posts annual adjusted core profit of 947 million pounds ($1.28 billion) vs market consensus of 914 million pounds

** Company sees 2026 adjusted core profit in line with market view

** Up to last close, stock had risen ~5% so far this year
