** Shares of DroneShield DRO.AX rise 18.2% to A$2.11, heading for their best day since late February 2024, if gains hold

** Defence technology firm rose as much as 22.7% earlier in the day to hit its highest level since mid-July 2024

** Co receivesthree standalone follow-on contracts for a European military customer of A$61.6 million ($40.02 million), the biggest in the company's history

** Stock up ~194% this year, including the day's move
