PARIS, April 9 (Reuters) - The European Commission on Wednesday said it had approved Danish logistics company DSV's DSV.CO planned 14.3 billion euro ($15.78 billion) acquisition of German rival Schenker, the logistics arm of German state rail operator Deutsche Bahn, in a deal that will create the world's biggest logistics company.
While the deal will put DSV ahead of DHL Logistics and Swiss group Kuehne und Nagel KNIN.S, the combined group will only have between 6% and 7% of a highly fragmented global logistics market.
The Commission said in a statement on Wednesday it had concluded that the transaction would not raise competition concerns, given its limited impact on competition in the markets where the companies are active.
DSV announced the deal in September last year.
