    UKRAINE
    Buildings in Odesa lay in ruins a day after Kremlin forces
pounded the southern Ukrainian port with missiles and Russian
President Vladimir Putin led defiant celebrations marking the
Soviet's victory over Nazi Germany in World War Two.

    ENERGY
    German officials are quietly preparing for any sudden halt
in Russian gas supplies with an emergency package that could
include taking control of critical firms, three people familiar

    Germany and Qatar have hit difficulties in talks over
long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply deals amid
