LONDON, Nov 12 (Reuters) - German asset manager DWS
DWSG.DE said on Tuesday it had appointed a new investment
chief at a time when fund managers are under pressure to improve
performance and better compete with passive rivals.
Deutsche Bank-backed DWS said in a statement that it had
promoted Vincenzo Vedda to be its new chief investment officer.
Its current CIO, Bjoern Jesch, who also heads up its Swiss unit,
was leaving the company by mutual agreement.
Vedda was previously global head of portfolio management for
public markets. He will oversee both the investment office and
portfolio management unit and continue to report to DWS CEO
Stefan Hoops, the statement said.
