The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq edged higher while the Dow dropped on
Tuesday, with the benchmark index hovering near record highs as
investors parsed a mixed set of quarterly results from companies
such as UnitedHealth and Bank of America.  .N 
    At 11:32 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was
down 0.2% at 42,971.04. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.29% at
5,842.77 and the Nasdaq Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.60% at
18,391.376.
