Wall Street slipped on Tuesday, with the tech-heavy Nasdaq
leading the decline, as a slump in semiconductor and oil stocks
offset strong quarterly results from major banks.  .N 
    At 1406 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down
0.6% at 42,799.81. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.52% at 5,829.22
and the Nasdaq Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.85% at 18,345.826.
