** Castlelake made public its £4.74 billion ($6.26 billion) takeover plan for easyJet <EZJ.L>, ramping up pressure on the board of the budget airline, which promptly rejected it as "opportunistic" and not in the best interests of shareholders.

** French food giant Danone <DANO.PA> said it will acquire Australia's Made Group, expanding into high-protein foods in the Asia-Pacific region in a global race to tap surging demand from users of weight-loss drugs.

** Ireland's CRH <CRH.N> is nearing a deal to acquire its rival Arcosa <ACA.N>, in an acquisition that would be the Irish company's largest-ever takeover, the Financial Times reported on Sunday, citing people familiar with the matter.
