** Shares in Ebusco EBUS.AS rises 4% after the Dutch maker
of electric buses posted a record order book for 2021 and
announced a major agreement with Deutsche Bahn
** The group, which made its debut on the Amsterdam bourse
in October, reported a total order book of 325 buses in 2021 and
said it had added orders for additional 951 in the first months
of 2022 urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nFWN2WA0B8
** Despite posting a lower revenue for 2021, dragged by
weaker order intake in 2020 and H1 2021 due to the pandemic and
supply chain disruptions, the group says its drive for
sustainable public transport is "unstoppable"
** In a separate statement, Ebusco said it will be the
primary supplier to Germany's state-owned operator Deutsche Bahn
for zero-emission buses in 2023-2024, with an option to extend
to 2025 and 2026 urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nFWN2WA05X
** After seeing improved tender activity in H2 2021 and 2022
YTD, the group forecasts a sharp increase in this year's revenue
** "The company shows it is able to deal with the rather
challenging global supply chain issues and the huge increase of
the order book," says ING analyst Tijs Hollestelle, calling the
positive share reaction "fully warranted"
** The stock is down 25% year-to-date
