** Cenovus Energy CVE.TO is selling its 50% stake in two U.S. refineries for $1.4-billion in cash, the latest move by the Calgary-based company to rejig its asset portfolio.

** General Motors GM.N says it has delayed plans to cut the third shift at its plant in Oshawa, Ontario, by several months, in a temporary reprieve for 700 jobs. Meanwhile, Stellantis STLAM.MI confirmed it will add a third shift at its Windsor assembly plant in the first quarter of 2026, after backing away from a plan to boost production by adding the jobs this fall.

** The chief executive officer of space technology company MDA Space MDA.TO, Michael Greenley, made $35.7-million exercising stock options, three weeks before the company's share price plunged 25% when U.S. telecom EchoStar SATS.O unexpectedly cancelled a major contract.
