Eco Buildings Group PLC
("Eco Buildings" or the "Company")
Eco Buildings Appoints Former Construction Minister Dr Nigel Griffiths as
Strategic Adviser on Ministerial Engagement
Eco Buildings, a UK-listed modular construction company specialising in
sustainable GFRG-based building systems, is pleased to announce that Dr Nigel
Griffiths, Chairman of Ecofill Group Limited and former UK Construction
Minister and Member of Parliament for Edinburgh South, is now advising the
Company on ministerial engagement and public policy as it prepares for
significant international expansion; and in particular heightened interest in
the UK as a result of the significant progress globally.
Dr Griffiths' advisory support comes at a time when Eco Buildings Plc is
entering new markets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and South
America, working with governments, developers, and institutional partners to
implement high-performance, sustainable construction solutions.
As former Construction Minister, Dr Griffiths oversaw UK housing,
infrastructure, and energy efficiency initiatives, launching several flagship
programmes that linked sustainable policy goals with private-sector
innovation. In his subsequent business career, including as Chairman of
Ecofill, he has championed greener construction practices and low-impact
materials development for the UK market.
At Eco Buildings, Dr Griffiths will provide strategic advice on public policy
engagement, government liaison services, and stakeholder relations, supporting
the Company's wider commitment to improving transparency in working with
public bodies and international funders. His perspective will help ensure Eco
Buildings maintains its strong alignment with evolving sustainability, safety,
and performance standards across territories.
Dr Griffiths commented:
"Eco Buildings is exactly the kind sort of manufacturing innovation Britain
should be proud to support and export. Its technology delivers durable,
energy-efficient buildings quickly and most important of all, affordably -
aligning perfectly with the accelerating national and international need for
affordable housing, and sustainability jobs creation and lower carbon
footprint industries. I'm delighted to advise the company as it engages with
policymakers and developers seeking practical paths towards net-zero
construction to serve the growing housing crisis."
Dr Etrur Albani, Executive Vice-Chairman of Eco Buildings Plc, said:
Dr Griffiths brings unparalleled experience at the interface of government,
innovation, and sustainable construction. His understanding of how policy,
technology, and project delivery must align in order to maximise market impact
will doubtless prove invaluable as we scale globally. We're proud to have his
counsel as Eco Buildings advances its mission to make sustainable construction
universally viable."
Disruptive Innovation in Sustainable Building
Eco Buildings is pioneering a new generation of sustainable, robust, and fully
certified building systems that can be delivered at half the material cost and
half the human labour requirement of traditional construction methods. Its
modular technology combines strength, environmental performance, and rapid
deployment, providing a scalable solution to the global challenges of housing,
infrastructure, and sustainability.
Eco Buildings' modular panel technology has been independently tested and
certified to global standards. The system offers superior insulation and
acoustic qualities, while significantly reducing embodied carbon compared to
traditional materials.
The Company's innovation addresses two of construction's most entrenched
challenges: cost and labour. By reducing both material usage and on-site
installation time, Eco Buildings makes sustainability economically accessible,
especially in regions with acute housing and infrastructure demands.
With the construction sector responsible for nearly 40% of global emissions,
Eco Buildings defines its mission in clear terms: to replace conventional,
carbon-intensive building methods with a proven, efficient, and accessible
alternative. The Company's partnerships with public and private stakeholders
aim to accelerate low-carbon construction and ensure widespread adoption of
new materials technologies.
Dr Griffiths' advisory role reinforces Eco Buildings Plc's position as a UK
innovation leader driving change in the global building sector, where economic
resilience, environmental responsibility, and technical excellence must now go
hand in hand.
