** Shares of personal care company Edgewell Personal Care EPC.N up 0.95% at $19.09 after co announces divestiture

** EPC to sell North American feminine care unit to Sweden’s Essity ESSITYa.ST for $340 mln

** Deal includes brands like Stayfree, Playtex and Carefree, sold at major U.S. retailers including Walmart WMT.N and Target  TGT.N

** Deal comes after EPC had trimmed FY profit outlook in Aug after missing Q3 estimates amid weak U.S. consumer spending

** EPC says divestiture will sharpen focus on core categories like sunscreen and shaving, and strengthen its financial position

** Stock down 43.72% YTD, as of last close
