** Shares of gene editing company Editas Medicine  EDIT.O 
rise ~2.7% to $7.24 premarket
    ** Company says U.S. FDA granted regenerative medicine
advanced therapy (RMAT) designation to its investigational, gene
editing medicine for the treatment of sickle cell disease
    ** RMAT designation expedites development and review of
regenerative medicine therapies and offers sponsor companies
early interactions with the FDA
    ** Sickle cell disease is an inherited blood disorder that
affects hemoglobin
    ** Up to last close, shares down 20.5% YTD
