Deals of the day-Mergers and acquisitions

October 6 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1330 GMT on Monday:

** Fifth Third  agreed to buy regional lender Comerica  in an all-stock deal valued at $10.9 billion, creating the ninth-largest U.S. lender with a robust presence in the Midwest.

** AI-powered customer survey software maker Qualtrics has agreed to buy healthcare market research company Press Ganey Forsta in a $6.75 billion deal, the Financial Times reported , citing people familiar with the matter.

** French investment firm Ardian is acquiring one of Ireland's largest energy utilities Energia Group from I Squared Capital, the companies said in a statement , in a bet on a power supplier poised to serve the booming AI industry.

** Ares Management  said that a fund managed by its Infrastructure Opportunities unit has acquired a 49% stake in a diversified U.S. renewable energy platform from EDP Renovaveis  (EDPR), valuing the business at about $2.9 billion.

** SiriusPoint has agreed to sell its 49% equity stake in Arcadian Risk Capital to Lee Equity Partners for $139 million but will continue to provide its paper to the John Boylan-led MGA after renewing and extending its capacity deal until the end of 2031.

** Australian miner Predictive Discovery  and Canada's Robex Resources  said they will merge in a A$2.35 billion ($1.55 billion) all-share deal, creating a mid-tier gold producer in West Africa.

** Space tech firm Firefly Aerospace  will acquire national security technology company SciTec for about $855 million, the company said on Sunday, just months after its Nasdaq listing, honing its portfolio at a time when U.S. military and civil programs are receiving increased investor interest.

** QatarEnergy agreed with Shell  to acquire a 27% participating interest in a block offshore Egypt from the oil and gas major, it said in a statement on Sunday.
