Australia's Edu Holdings hits 9-year high after withdrawing delisting proposal

** Education-business operator Edu Holdings Ltd EDU.AX rises as much as 42.5% to A$0.285, its highest level since June 15, 2016

** EDU's board says it will withdraw its proposal for delisting in light of shareholder feedback and the co's current trading price

** Says it will not proceed with its proposal to buy-back unmarketable parcels of shares

** Around 1.5 mln shares changed hands, compared with 30-day avg of around 997,283 shares

** YTD shares have risen 168.4%
