** Shares of India's EKI Energy Services  EKIE.BO  up 6.6%,
after rising as much as 13.7% earlier in the day 
    ** Co has registered and verified first-ever improved
biomass cookstove project in Asia, it said
    ** Project aims to provide cookstoves to rural and
economically disadvantaged households in six states
    ** EKIE neither disclosed likely financial gains from the
project to exchanges nor immediately responded to Reuters'
inquiry about the same 
    ** Trading vols 4.6x 30-day avg 
    ** YTD, stock has fallen 19.5%
