Spain's Elecnor targets higher dividends through 2027

MADRID, Sept 11 (Reuters) - Spanish infrastructure firm Elecnor ENOR.MC plans to distribute more than 220 million euros ($257 million) in dividends and invest up to 400 million euros through 2027, Chief Executive Alberto Garcia de los Angeles said on Thursday.

The company is well positioned to seize opportunities tied to the growing need to build and update power grids, as well as other trends like digitalisation, he told journalists at the presentation of the company's first-ever Capital Markets Day.

The planned dividend would be double the amount paid between 2021 and 2023. Its dividend against 2024 results was 805 million euros, following the sale of its renewables business Enerfin to Norway's Statkraft.

Elecnor targets revenues of 4 billion euros and net profit of more than 100 million euros a year between 2025 and 2027.

The CEO didn't rule out M&A operations in the period: "We're always analysing opportunities," he said.

"In recent years, we've bought small companies, keeping our culture, and from there, growing responsibly."
