India's Elecon Engineering surges as quarterly profit jumps

** Shares of Elecon Engineering  ELCN.NS  rise as much as
6.7% to 839.75 rupees, its steepest climb since Sept 25
    ** Co posts 37% jump in Sept-qtr consolidated net PAT
profit, 24.8% rise in revenue
    ** The two segments of the co, transmission equipment and
material handling equipment saw their consolidated revenue rise
26.9% and % 12% YoY respectively
    ** Including session's gain, stock up 124.9%
