EV stocks gain as GM set to announce boosted spending plans for sector

** Shares of electric-vehicle makers Nikola Corp  NKLA.O ,
Nio Inc  NIO.N  and Tesla Inc  TSLA.O  up between 2.3% and 4.4% 
    ** General Motors Co  GM.N  is expected to roll out details
of an expanded and accelerated electric vehicle strategy on

    ** NKLA, which is set to gain for a fifth straight session,
said last week its deal with GM has not closed, and the startup

    ** TSLA rises as much as 4.5% to a record high of $508.6, on
course to gain for a third straight day after S&P Dow Jones
Indices said earlier this week co would join the S&P 500 index

up 18.5%, startup Lordstown Motors Corp  RIDE.O  up 2.4% and
China's Kandi Technologies Group  KNDI.O  up ~15% 
    ** YTD, NKLA is up ~158%, TSLA up 497% and NIO as risen over
11-fold
