** Shares of Electro Optic Systems Holdings EOS.AX rise as much as 17.8% to A$1.52, highest since October 25; last up 14.3%

** Defense and space technology developer says it has secured a new order for its Slinger counter-drone remote weapon systems for 31 million euros ($34.65 million)

** Says order is from a European naval systems integration business and is funded by a Western European government

** More than 2.8 million shares change hands, 3.9 times the 30-day average

** Stock up 13.9% YTD, including current session's moves
