** Shares of Australia's Electro Optic Systems  EOS.AX  rise
as much as 5% to A$1.79, their highest level since March 25
    ** Stock posts its biggest intraday gain since April 9
    ** Co which operates in defence & space systems says secured
A$19 mln ($12.30 mln) worth of new orders
    ** Adds received follow on orders from European NATO Navy
for additional communication terminals, among others
    ** Says EOS Space Technologies further secured A$5 mln
contract with Australia's Defense Force Joint Capabilities
Division 
    ** Nearly 901,250 shares change hands as of 0151 GMT, vs
30-day average volume of 807,113 shares
    ** Stock up 63.9% YTD as of last close
