Australia's FleetPartners opens books to SG Fleet, Element and ORIX as takeover war heats up
Australia's FleetPartners opens books to SG Fleet, Element and ORIX as takeover war heats up Aug 13 (Reuters) - Australia's FleetPartners Group FPR.AX said on Thursday it would grant limited due diligence access to SG Fleet Topco, Canada's Element Fleet EFN.TO and Japan's ORIX Corp 8591.T after receiving separate takeover approaches earlier this month.
Here are a few details:
The vehicle-leasing and fleet management firm said its board had reviewed the proposals, including feedback from shareholders, and was prepared to provide initial due diligence access to all of its suitors.
The process is intended to help the bidders determine whether to submit revised offers on a more informed basis, FleetPartners said.
The board said it could extend similar access to other parties that submit proposals requiring further engagement.
FleetPartners said it would continue discussions with SG Fleet, backed by Pacific Equity Partners, Element and ORIX while assessing any alternative bids that may emerge.
