July 29 (Reuters) - Belgian electricity transmission grid operator ELI.BR reported an 18% jump in its first-half revenue to €2.56 billion ($2.92 billion) and reiterated its profit outlook for the full year on Wednesday.
Elia's earnings were boosted by growth in its regulated asset base and higher regulatory returns, as growing electrification and renewable energy integration increase demand for power grid investments across Europe.
During the first half of 2026, the company advanced works on the Princess Elisabeth Island offshore hub, its flagship project that will help connect future offshore wind farms to the Belgian grid.
Elia's first-half EBITDA increased 16.9% to €1.06 billion
Profit attributable to owners of ordinary shares rose 29.4% to €348.7 million
It targets a net profit between €690 million and €740 million in 2026
It also stuck to investment plans of around €6.5 billion for the year
German subsidiary 50Hertz reported H1 profit of €250.8 million, up 20.8% from a year ago, as asset growth increased earnings from its onshore and offshore investments
In a separate statement, CPP Investments and Elia said they had acquired the Tarchon subsea interconnector project
Elia's WindGrid platform will take a 25% stake in the planned 1.4-GW power link between Germany and Britain
