Elior, Sodexo slip after peer's rating downgrade

** Shares in caterers Elior ELIOR.PA and Sodexo EXHO.PA slip, with an analyst pointing to BNP Paribas Exane's double downgrade of their peer Compass CPG.L

** "Compass is down on Exane's double downgrade this morning, dragging Elior and Sodexo along with it," Barclays analyst Pravin Gondhale says

** BNP cites deteriorating industry client retention rates in the U.S. as a reason for its downgrade, Compass falls 3.5%

** Elior is down around 4% at 1254 GMT, while Sodexo slips 1.3%
