U.S. stock indexes extended gains to trade more than 1% higher on Thursday, as
optimism was driven by upbeat earnings from Cisco and Walmart as well as robust
economic data that underlined the strength of the domestic economy. .N
At 13:13 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 1.06% at 25,918.75.
The S&P 500 .SPX was up 1.25% at 2,886.7 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was
up 1.30% at 7,923.819.
