India's Nifty FMCG index falls to lowest in 4 months

** India's Nifty FMCG index  .NIFTYFMCG  down 2.2%, lowest
since November, in its steepest decline since late January 
    ** The consumer goods index has logged over 2% intraday
losses for three sessions in 2024 
    ** Reuters could not immediately ascertain the reason
for stock moves
    ** Britannia  BRIT.NS , Colgate-Palmolive (India)  COLG.NS ,
Nestle India  NEST.NS  are top pct drags on the index, down
3.2%-4.4%
    ** HLL, part of Nifty 50 index, hits lowest since July 2022
    ** COLG, worst performer in FMCG index, is set for biggest
one-day drop since July 2021 
    ** BRIT, NEST, Hindustan Unilever  HLL.NS , down 1.6%, are
among losers on the Nifty 50 index  .NSEI , which is down 1% 
    ** Dozen of the 15 members on FMCG index in the red 
    ** Nifty FMCG gained ~29% in 2023, NSEI gained 20%
