Embecta rises after submitting insulin patch pump for FDA clearance

** Shares of Embecta Corp  EMBC.O  rise 6.6% to $20.60
premarket
    ** Medical device maker says it has submitted a 510 (K)
premarket filing to the U.S. FDA for its insulin patch pump
    ** A 510(K) is a premarket submission made to the FDA to
demonstrate that the device to be marketed is safe and effective
    ** Co also plans to make another FDA submission in the
future for a closed-loop version, which includes an insulin
dosing algorithm along with the pump
    ** EMBC stock fell 25.2% in 2023
