** Shares of EMS Ltd EMSL.NS rise as much as 15.4% to 398.95 rupees

** Stock on track to gain for 6th straight day

** Construction co receives lowest bidder status by UP Jal Nigam (Urban), for two construction works worth 1.44 bln rupees ($15.5 mln) and 648.5 mln rupees

** More than 2.8 mln shares traded as of 9:38 a.m.	 IST, 6.4x their 30-day moving avg

** EMSL last up 14.1%, cutting YTD losses to 20.4%
