EMS Chemie drops 2% on lower-than-expected Q1 sales

** Shares in EMS Chemie EMSN.S drop 2% after the Swiss nylon maker posted Q1 net sales below consensus

** Q1 net sales came in to 487 million Swiss francs  ($609.28 million), falling short of consensus expected 498 million francs

** "EMS reported 1Q26 sales that were down -6.6% in CHF, slightly better than our estimates but lower than in our view, too optimistic consensus," says Vontobel's analyst Sibylle Bischofberger

** Vontobel's Q1 net sales expectations stood at 484 million Swiss francs

($1 = 0.7993 Swiss francs)
